Head Coach & Director of Player Development
About:
Experienced in coaching youth, college, and professional-level players
Profile:
I’ve had the privilege of working with athletes across various levels of the game, from youth to college and pro-level development.
Coaching & Leadership Career:
My experience includes coaching and leadership roles with programs such as the MLB Puerto Rico Youth Elite Program, Leadership Christian Academy (where I served as both Dean and Athletic Director), International Baseball Academy, and PRIBL (Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League).
Life Lessons:
I’m passionate about helping players grow both on and off the field through discipline, mentorship, and love for the game.
Assistant Coach
Profile:
I’m married to my wife Hannah, and we have a brown lab named Wrigley. We just recently moved to Fairview and love the area. After 7 seasons playing baseball professionally this is my first season coaching with the Stingers. I really enjoy all things sports. I grew up as a 3 sport athlete playing baseball, basketball, and football. Post baseball career I’ve really enjoyed playing golf with friends, and continuing to work out and focus on overall fitness. I graduated from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL with my Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management before turning Pro.
Coaching & Leadership Career:
I have spent most of my off seasons during my playing career giving hitting/fielding lessons to younger players. I’ve always found joy in helping based off my experiences playing. Which is the same thing I have tried to bring to the Stingers. Sharing my experiences and helping them by showing and doing rather than just talking about it. Lead by example!
Key Skills & Strengths:
7 Professional seasons (Pirates, Orioles, Brewers)
Spent last 3 seasons in Triple A Nashville Sounds
Career numbers: .235 Batting Average, 72 Homeruns, 286 RBI, .750 OPS
Life Lessons:
The game of baseball truly has brought me everywhere. And it’s taught me so much. Learning to deal with failure is the name of the game. It’s a lot easier said than done, however that’s my biggest goal being a part of the Stingers is help each of our players learn to deal with failure and come back trying harder the next time!
- 1% better every day!
